== Numbers, Dates and Currencies ==
* All numbers up to ten should be spelt out in text format (one, two three). Numbers after ten may be written in numerals (21, 22, 23).
** This does not apply to tables, update logs, quotes or infoboxes.
** You should not start a sentence with a numeral. Spell it out or add a word in front so you can use a numeral.
*** Incorrect: 58 people attended the shift yesterday morning.
*** Correct: Fifty-eight people attended the shift yesterday morning.
*** Correct: A total of 58 people attended the shift yesterday morning.
* The word percent is preferred over the symbol (%), with the exception of tables, update logs, quotes or infoboxes.
* Notation of currencies should come before the number, if you are not already using a template (example 1000XP over XP1000).
** Do not shorten Robux as R$, but use the <nowiki> {{Robux}} </nowiki> template. For example, {{Robux|150}}.
* All dates should be written in longhand form, and should follow the order of DAY/MONTH/YEAR. Do not shorten the month, year, or anything else.
** Do not append ordinal indicators (-st, -nd, -rd) for dates.
* When writing numbers with ordinal indicators (-st, -nd, -rd), use the superscript wikitext formatting option by typing<nowiki> text </nowiki>.
* Numbers should be formatted with a comma as the thousands separator, for digit grouping, and a period (or full stop) as the decimal separator. Numbers above 1,000 should all have a thousands separator.
** Correct: 12,000
** Incorrect: 12.000
* For time, a 24-hour format is preferred over the 12-hour format.
** Avoid redundant words, e.g. Do not say 16:00 in the afternoon.
* All times should be in the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) timezone. Do not add a time, following another separate timezone.
* For units, use the following:
**Length - Studs
**Speed - Miles Per Hour (may be abbreviated as mph) or studs per second (may be shortened to sps, to be used only for legacy calculations)
**Time - Hours, Minutes and Seconds
== Writing and Formatting ==
* No profanity is allowed in articles, with the exception of appropriate offsite links, and quotes.
** You may be punished under the rules for adding profanity.
** This includes light profanity such as 'shit', 'damn', etc.
* Avoid contractions (cannot over can't).
*'''Roblox''' is preferred over ROBLOX.
* When mentioning any notable user, like a developer, check that that is their most updated name. Searching their previous name on the Roblox website can yield their current name in the search results.
** Correct: cl0vermead0w
** Incorrect: l1z4rdju1ce
** Incorrect: happyshalala
* When mentioning other games or brand names, use italics, and the full brand name. For example: ''Stepford County Railway'', ''British Rail'' and ''Arena: Tower Defense!''
** In addition, you should avoid shortening names of brands or games. For example, ''Great Western Railway'' is to be used over ''GWR''.
* If the articles name is repeated further in the main text page, it should be '''bolded'''.
* All quotes in quotation marks should be written in ''italics''. You should try to use the <nowiki> {{Quote}} </nowiki> template when writing quotes.
* If a hyperlink to a page on this wiki, or another website is appropriate and available, it generally can be repeated for every instance.
* If you are linking to a certain section, you should always use the Anchor Tag to allow readers to jump to the section.
** Example: <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext"> [[Satus Services#Gallery|Photos of Satus Services]] </syntaxhighlight>
* Bullet point indentation should be used if there is a further point that can be stated about a previous bullet point.
** This should not be excessively used to the point where the text is far from the left side of the page.
* Bullet points should not be used in replacement of using conjunction words, unless the list is long.
* The term "removed" should only be reserved to features, items or enemies that no longer appear in the game for the majority of people.
** It should not be removed from the term "unobtainable", such as badges that still exist, but cannot be obtained.
** Items that are obtainable by a small amount of players such as the [[Class 411]] are considered "admin-only" content, not removed.
** Items that have been previously obtainable for all players but are not exclusive are to also be labelled appropriately.
<!-- REMOVE COMMENT TAGS WHEN V2.0 IS OUT
* When referring to the stations that have been removed, but re-added in a different place with a same name, such as [[Steynbath Halt]] and [[Glassbury Junction]], it should always be labelled and hyperlinked as the 'Legacy' station, unless it is very historically clear, such as update pages.

== Editorial Style ==
=== Neutral Point of View===
All content on the wiki must be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV) - that is writing in a way that is representing the subject fairly, proportionately and as far as possible, without editorial bias.
* Avoid stating your own opinions and facts - this is not your own blog, but a game encyclopedia.
* Don't add seriously contested assertions as facts.
* Avoid stating facts as opinions.
* Use nonjudgmental language - you should neither sympathise or disparage your subject, although this sometimes can be balanced with clarity.
* Always identify and indicate the relative prominence of opposing views.

*Here at the Dovedale Railway Wiki, please write in '''British English'''. This applies to the spelling and grammar of the words.
A very guide on this topic is available on [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Neutral point of view|this wikipedia content policy page.]]
<small>''(Example: colour over color)''.</small>
*You will need '''good grammar''' and '''good spelling''' when editing or making articles. Before you publish, please do a quick check of your edits.
* Do not use ampersands (&) in replacement of ‘and’. You are encouraged to write in full instead of abbreviations.
''<small>(Example: they are not they're)</small>''
*Apostrophes should be used correctly.
''<small>(Example: Its and It’s)</small>''
*Always have a space succeeding a comma, like this.
* When writing a list, do not repeatedly use the word ‘and’, use commas. You are encouraged to use different connecting words.
*'''Roblox''' is preferred over ROBLOX.
*When mentioning any notable user, like a developer, check that that is their most updated name.
** Searching their previous name can yield their current name in Roblox results.
''<small>(Example: l1z4rdju1ce over happyshalala)</small>''
*Quotations should be in italics, or using the <nowiki>{{Quote}}</nowiki> template. Please write quotations using the quote function in the editor.
**Quotes should use (“”) and not (‘ ‘)
''<small> (Example:“Donated by RAYE”.)</small>''
**''“BALL was created by an unknown man and has been turned into a meme in the dovedale community. It is now being preserved in this museum owened by Meowtwotonnezoom.”''
**If this is the last word of the sentence, do not add an extra ‘.’ .
*When writing a date, write in its full format, like 31 January 2021. Do not shorten the month, year, or anything else.
** Please use the proper dash (-) when writing 2 dates. DO NOT use em dashes, en dashes, or arrows.
** Do not write ‘st’, ‘nd’, or ‘rd’ after date numbers.
''<small> (Example: 31 January 2021 - 1 April 2021) </small>
*When writing, it is usually not advisable to have exclamation marks or question marks as the end.
*No profanity should be used in the articles. Exceptions include external site links or quotes. Please contact a Bureaucrat+ when in doubt.
*When using or choosing pictures, the '''main''' photo should be of high quality and in the 'day' mode. Other photos can be taken during night, though it should be placed secondary.
*Please use the METRIC system, with the exception for length, where we use studs, the Roblox Standard.
**Length - Studs
**Speed - Studs per second
**Time - Minutes and Hours ('''Do not shorten this''')
''<small> (Example: The maximum speed of this train is 100 studs per second.) </small>''
''<small> (Example: The timetable allows drivers for a 3 minute break at Satus Services.) </small>''
*When writing numbers over a thousand, include comma separators.
''<small> (Example: There are around 10,000 trees around [[Dovedale East]]) </small>''
*Game currency should be referred to as the following:
**'''XP - Experience Points'''
**Robux may be shortened to ‘R$’.
* when describing numbers below 10, they should be written in text format. For larger numbers, please write in number form.
''<small> (Example: She accidentally spawned in two trains.) </small>''
''<small> (There are over 400 applicants for this round.) </small>''
*Terms should be carefully chosen. For instance, removed should not be interchangeably used with unobtainable.
** If the item is admin only, such as an admin only train, please use the latter, or 'admin-only'.
** If a train was previously available but was removed, and can no longer be used or seen, please use the term removed.
''<small> (Example: The Class 91 Intercity is unobtainable) </small> '' <br>
''<small> (Example: The Class 323 was unobtainable for some time. ) </small> '' <br>
''<small> (Example: The old Dovedale Central was removed. ) </small> '' <br>
*When uploading images, please clear all non-essential EXIF metadata. It is possible to view metadata from Image Files.
** We are not liable for any privacy leaks that happen on our wiki as a result of this.
* You may use Unicode arrows for pages that require it. Below are arrows listed that are allowed.
** Simple arrows from unicode 2190 through 2199
** Arrows 21BB and 21BA
** Please do not use double arrows, harpoons and white arrows.
** Arrow namelist: [https://unicode.org/charts/nameslist/n_2190.html]
* When using maps, please set the markers to a set color scheme and title. Maps for in-game maps should have at least an Entrance and Exit, and can alternatively include Path Points, Points of Intrest, or Fefatures.
* Only game information should be added into the wiki. For example, there should not be any admin inserts.
** Some real world information information is acceptable. For example, explaning with the Class 43 is called Cross Country.

== Behavioural ==
=== Write for your audience, not your peers ===
We would like for all users to enjoy the community and this wiki - so do follow the following conduct guidelines.
Use simple and easy to understand terms. Remember, people are coming to the wiki to learn things and allow people understand, and they may not. Most are not familiar with the topic, that is why they are on that page, to read. Use simple easy to understand terms over fancy jargon.

==Copyright==
Your goal is not to impress your peers, but to allow the audience to easily read learn and understand the subject.
All photos of original game assets, assets in public domain in game, or assets with prior permission are allowed to be used in this Wiki under terms set by Game Developers. Generally it is okay to screenshot something and add it here, but in doubt or if in a sticky situation, contact our administrators or moderators.

All media being uploaded of game assets should follow the following criteria:
== Files ==
* Be uploaded to the wiki directly.
* Name files descriptively and appropriately. Avoid random strings of texts, or joke names, unless you are using it for personal pages or user blogs.
* Videos uploaded to a channel on YouTube have to not have monetisation enabled, OR monetisation be disabled for the particular video.
* No players or surface user interfaces should be visible on infobox photos.
** Due to high risks of such videos getting reverted by original owners, please contact enews to upload it to his account if needed.
* Train photos should be taken at an angle where at least the first carriage can front can be seen. There should be no obstructions like signals or players.
* Have NO monetisation on any other embeds.
* Freecam should be used to take photos.
** Due to high risks of such videos getting reverted by original owners, please contact enews to upload it to his account if needed.
* If you are replacing a file, please check it is not being used for archival purposes.
* File replacements should not be done for a new version of something. For example, if [[Satus Signal Box]] got an overhaul, instead of replacing the image with its old appearance, upload a new image.
* Ensure you clear all sensitive EXIF data before uploading a file. Not all data is scrubbed when uploaded to MediaWiki. See [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:File_metadata_handling this] page for more.

Permission to reproduce items where third-party owned material protected by copyright is included has been sought and cleared where possible. Every reasonable effort has been made to trace copyright holders, but if any items requiring clearance have unwittingly been included, we will be pleased to make amends at the earliest possible opportunity.
== Grammar ==
* Proper Nouns should always be capitalised.
** Correct: The level crossing is located along Satus View Drive.
** Correct: There was a fire at the Training Centre.
**Do NOT capitalise designations, such as teacher, lawyer, manager.
* It is generally fine to shorten ''et cetera'' to ''etc.'', and ''id est'' to ''i.e''. For lists, etc. counts as its own item, so must be preceded with a comma.
** Correct: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, etc.
** Incorrect: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia etc.
** Incorrect: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and etc.
* Trains should be always referred to by their classes, unless there is no applicable name, or you are specifying a specific train.
** Correct: Class 43
** Incorrect: HST
* Articles should be written in the present tense, except those with pages that refer to removed or discontinued things.

We sincerly apologise if you believe that your copyrighted content is being used in a manner that you believe violates your rights. While we will be happy to make amends, should you need further help, please contact out wiki host (Fandom) with a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice. You may file one at [https://support.fandom.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000940393&tf_360017952614=i_have_a_copyright_or_trademark_issue this link]. Learn more about this on [https://community.fandom.com/wiki/DMCA_takedown_notice this Community Central Article].
== Article Style ==
=== Titles ===
Titles and infobox titles are normally written in title case (Satus Signal Box versus Satus signal box). Only the first letter of a major word should be capitalised, unless specifically spelt otherwise. Conjunction words should not be capitalised.

Note: We nor Fandom are in a position to give legal advice. Please contact your attorney for more.
=== Tabbers ===
Tabbers allow you to place multiple similar pieces of information on a page while saving space. Tabber titles should be succint, due to limited screen real estate. If you are conducting a large amount of formatting inside a tabber, it is acceptable to nest a template inside the content section, so as to avoid style conflicts.
Please note that all contributions to the Dovedale Wiki are considered to be released under the CC-BY-SA '''unless otherwise stated'''. This means that although you the editor are the holder of the copyright, you have given blanket and irrevocable permission to the world at large to reuse, remix, and transform your work as long as you are attributed as the author. Please note that images are not automatically released under the CC BY-SA license.

Third party sources can use content from this wiki. This is acceptable under the Creative Commons license. All third parties must provide proper attribution on every article and link back. An example is located [https://www.fandom.com/licensing#Using_Fandom_content here].
=== Infoboxes ===
The type of infobox depends on the page you are editing. All values should correspond to a value in the infobox. It is preferred to leave parameter values empty, if it does not apply or does not exist.
Additionally, an infobox can use a tabber for items like images if there are multiple images that are suitable to apply for an infobox. You should only add these images if they are important. Other images can go into galleries. You are to follow the following tabber guidelines for tabbers in infoboxes:
* Station - Exterior View, Other notable entrances/exits/shops/counters, Platform View (optional)
* Company - Company Logo only
* Train - Exterior View (showing clearly, at an angle, the entire train), Interior View (optional)
* Landmark - Exterior View, Interior View (optional)
* Crossing - Exterior View only
* Signal Box - Interior View(s), and Exterior View, Charts (no in-game screenshots) only
* Siding - Exterior View only

If you want to add copyrighted content to our wiki, the use of the material will have to qualify as fair use or similar exception. Four factors are considered by courts to determine whether an item's usage counts as fair use:
=== Quotes ===
* Purpose of the use
Quotes must succeed the infobox to avoid styling issues. They should be placed in the <nowiki> {{Quote}} </nowiki> template. A grammatical error within a quote should be denoted with "[sic]".
* Nature of the copyrighted work
* Amount and substantiality of copyrighted work used compared to the work as a whole
* Potential market for the copyrighted work
* You have the permission of the copyright holder to use it on Fandom.
* The material you want to use is licensed under a Creative Commons or other open license that permits free reuse.
* The material is in the public domain.
* You have created the material yourself.
If your use of content does not fall under one of these broad categories, it likely infringes someone's copyright. It is therefore against our Terms of Use to submit that material. We recommend using content that has a compatible license or is released to the public domain whenever possible.

When uploading a file, you should tag it with the appropriate copyright tag, in order to make its copyright status clear.
=== Facilities ===
Remember: all images uploaded should be used under fair use or be images that are freely available, with or without conditions or restrictions. You must adhere to any licensing requirements, such as attributing the author and source on the file description page.
This only applies to stations. Things like toilets, shops and waiting rooms may be identified in this section.

There are penalties for breaching such copyright laws if you are a user of this wiki/ Fandom. Should you uploads content that accrues three (3) separate DMCA takedown notices, Fandom, Inc. has the right to disable the account, at their discretion, under their repeat infringer policy. Takedown notices for which content has been restored in response to a successful counter-notification do not count as strikes for the purposes of the repeat infringer policy.
=== Gallery ===
This is where any images or videos relevant article should go. Before uploading any photos, ensure they are in good quality (unless it is for a removed item, and you have made a reasonable effort to retrieve a better image), and are relevant to the page.

the wiki will also issue our own separate blocks on the matter, depending on the situation.
=== Trivia ===
This is where any information not relevant to the other pages should go. Any information here must be noteworthy. This includes any superlatives and should not include mundane comparisons or information. Do not insert real world information unless it is directly related to the game.

The staff team will generally NOT counter strike DMCA notices unless deemed absolutely necessary due to the possibility of a lawsuit.
=== Navboxes ===
Relevant navboxes should be placed at the bottom of the page for pages in categories like stations, landmarks and trains.

== Exclusion of Liability ==
=== Edit Summary ===
You are encouraged to add, and write a descriptive edit summary that can help people in the future decipher what you edited, without going to the edit page.

To the extent permitted by law, we hereby disclaim any and all warranties, representations or statements made or given by employees, staff, agents, contractors and/or service providers of Dovedale Wiki. The reader shall waive all claims against Dovedale Wiki arising from such disputes. Notwithstanding any other conditions stated on our pages, Dovedale Wiki shall not be liable for any loss, damage, embarrassment, inconvenience, cost or expense of any nature (including without limitation for any act, omission, neglect or breach on the part of their agents, contractors, employees and staff) arising out of or in connection with the usage of our wiki service in any way that may be suffered or incurred by the reader or any other person.
== Article Creation ==
* Before starting a new article, it is best practice to ask a staff member if you should create a page, unless it is a new station, landmark or train being added in an update.
* Unreleased (such as sneak peeks), cut or exclusive content should generally not be added unless permission has been given from wiki staff.
* Admin/Developer inserts should not be added. Only trains that are able to spawn via buttons or the <code>:spawntrain</code> command are to be added. (i.e, it is in the game files, and is not inserted using the <code>:insert</code> command)
** An exception is for all company trains, which are only limited to the company page and its subpages.
* Consider the following before making your article:
** Look at similar articles - is there something already covered?
** Notability – should this topic have an article?
** Search for an existing article - does it already exist? Possibly under a section?

Introduction

This style guide aims to ensure a professional environment on the wiki, and to ensure pages are uniform and easy to read. The style guide provides an extensive guide to issues such as capitalisation, orthography, abbreviation, punctuation, spelling, numerals and many other questions of language usage.

This style guide also assumes you are using the Source Editor.

  • Notation of currencies should come before the number, if you are not already using a template (example 1000XP over XP1000).
    • Do not shorten Robux as R$, but use the {{Robux}} template. For example, Robux 150.
  • All dates should be written in longhand form, and should follow the order of DAY/MONTH/YEAR. Do not shorten the month, year, or anything else.
    • Do not append ordinal indicators (-st, -nd, -rd) for dates.
  • When writing numbers with ordinal indicators (-st, -nd, -rd), use the superscript wikitext formatting option by typing text .

Writing and Formatting

  • No profanity is allowed in articles, with the exception of appropriate offsite links, and quotes.
    • You may be punished under the rules for adding profanity.
    • This includes light profanity such as 'shit', 'damn', etc.
  • Avoid contractions (cannot over can't).
  • Roblox is preferred over ROBLOX.
  • When mentioning any notable user, like a developer, check that that is their most updated name. Searching their previous name on the Roblox website can yield their current name in the search results.
    • Correct: cl0vermead0w
    • Incorrect: l1z4rdju1ce
    • Incorrect: happyshalala
  • When mentioning other games or brand names, use italics, and the full brand name. For example: Stepford County Railway, British Rail and Arena: Tower Defense!
    • In addition, you should avoid shortening names of brands or games. For example, Great Western Railway is to be used over GWR.
  • If the articles name is repeated further in the main text page, it should be bolded.
  • All quotes in quotation marks should be written in italics. You should try to use the {{Quote}} template when writing quotes.
  • If a hyperlink to a page on this wiki, or another website is appropriate and available, it generally can be repeated for every instance.
  • If you are linking to a certain section, you should always use the Anchor Tag to allow readers to jump to the section.
    • Example:
       [[Satus Services#Gallery|Photos of Satus Services]]

  • Bullet point indentation should be used if there is a further point that can be stated about a previous bullet point.
    • This should not be excessively used to the point where the text is far from the left side of the page.
  • Bullet points should not be used in replacement of using conjunction words, unless the list is long.
  • The term "removed" should only be reserved to features, items or enemies that no longer appear in the game for the majority of people.
    • It should not be removed from the term "unobtainable", such as badges that still exist, but cannot be obtained.
    • Items that are obtainable by a small amount of players such as the Class 411 are considered "admin-only" content, not removed.
    • Items that have been previously obtainable for all players but are not exclusive are to also be labelled appropriately.

Editorial Style

Neutral Point of View

All content on the wiki must be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV) - that is writing in a way that is representing the subject fairly, proportionately and as far as possible, without editorial bias.

  • Avoid stating your own opinions and facts - this is not your own blog, but a game encyclopedia.
  • Don't add seriously contested assertions as facts.
  • Avoid stating facts as opinions.
  • Use nonjudgmental language - you should neither sympathise or disparage your subject, although this sometimes can be balanced with clarity.
  • Always identify and indicate the relative prominence of opposing views.

A very guide on this topic is available on this wikipedia content policy page.

Write for your audience, not your peers

Use simple and easy to understand terms. Remember, people are coming to the wiki to learn things and allow people understand, and they may not. Most are not familiar with the topic, that is why they are on that page, to read. Use simple easy to understand terms over fancy jargon.

Your goal is not to impress your peers, but to allow the audience to easily read learn and understand the subject.

Files

  • Name files descriptively and appropriately. Avoid random strings of texts, or joke names, unless you are using it for personal pages or user blogs.
  • No players or surface user interfaces should be visible on infobox photos.
  • Train photos should be taken at an angle where at least the first carriage can front can be seen. There should be no obstructions like signals or players.
  • Freecam should be used to take photos.
  • If you are replacing a file, please check it is not being used for archival purposes.
  • File replacements should not be done for a new version of something. For example, if Satus Signal Box got an overhaul, instead of replacing the image with its old appearance, upload a new image.
  • Ensure you clear all sensitive EXIF data before uploading a file. Not all data is scrubbed when uploaded to MediaWiki. See this page for more.

Grammar

  • Proper Nouns should always be capitalised.
    • Correct: The level crossing is located along Satus View Drive.
    • Correct: There was a fire at the Training Centre.
    • Do NOT capitalise designations, such as teacher, lawyer, manager.
  • It is generally fine to shorten et cetera to etc., and id est to i.e. For lists, etc. counts as its own item, so must be preceded with a comma.
    • Correct: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, etc.
    • Incorrect: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia etc.
    • Incorrect: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and etc.
  • Trains should be always referred to by their classes, unless there is no applicable name, or you are specifying a specific train.
    • Correct: Class 43
    • Incorrect: HST
  • Articles should be written in the present tense, except those with pages that refer to removed or discontinued things.

Article Style

Titles

Titles and infobox titles are normally written in title case (Satus Signal Box versus Satus signal box). Only the first letter of a major word should be capitalised, unless specifically spelt otherwise. Conjunction words should not be capitalised.

Tabbers

Tabbers allow you to place multiple similar pieces of information on a page while saving space. Tabber titles should be succint, due to limited screen real estate. If you are conducting a large amount of formatting inside a tabber, it is acceptable to nest a template inside the content section, so as to avoid style conflicts.

Infoboxes

The type of infobox depends on the page you are editing. All values should correspond to a value in the infobox. It is preferred to leave parameter values empty, if it does not apply or does not exist. Additionally, an infobox can use a tabber for items like images if there are multiple images that are suitable to apply for an infobox. You should only add these images if they are important. Other images can go into galleries. You are to follow the following tabber guidelines for tabbers in infoboxes:

  • Station - Exterior View, Other notable entrances/exits/shops/counters, Platform View (optional)
  • Company - Company Logo only
  • Train - Exterior View (showing clearly, at an angle, the entire train), Interior View (optional)
  • Landmark - Exterior View, Interior View (optional)
  • Crossing - Exterior View only
  • Signal Box - Interior View(s), and Exterior View, Charts (no in-game screenshots) only
  • Siding - Exterior View only

Quotes

Quotes must succeed the infobox to avoid styling issues. They should be placed in the {{Quote}} template. A grammatical error within a quote should be denoted with "[sic]".

Facilities

This only applies to stations. Things like toilets, shops and waiting rooms may be identified in this section.

This is where any images or videos relevant article should go. Before uploading any photos, ensure they are in good quality (unless it is for a removed item, and you have made a reasonable effort to retrieve a better image), and are relevant to the page.

Trivia

This is where any information not relevant to the other pages should go. Any information here must be noteworthy. This includes any superlatives and should not include mundane comparisons or information. Do not insert real world information unless it is directly related to the game.

Relevant navboxes should be placed at the bottom of the page for pages in categories like stations, landmarks and trains.

Edit Summary

You are encouraged to add, and write a descriptive edit summary that can help people in the future decipher what you edited, without going to the edit page.

Article Creation

  • Before starting a new article, it is best practice to ask a staff member if you should create a page, unless it is a new station, landmark or train being added in an update.
  • Unreleased (such as sneak peeks), cut or exclusive content should generally not be added unless permission has been given from wiki staff.
  • Admin/Developer inserts should not be added. Only trains that are able to spawn via buttons or the :spawntrain command are to be added. (i.e, it is in the game files, and is not inserted using the :insert command)
    • An exception is for all company trains, which are only limited to the company page and its subpages.
  • Consider the following before making your article:
    • Look at similar articles - is there something already covered?
    • Notability – should this topic have an article?
    • Search for an existing article - does it already exist? Possibly under a section?
