Mazewood Level Crossing is a Manually Controlled Barrier with an On-Call Function. Mazewood Level Crossing currently doesn't facilitate rail traffic as the line abruptly ends further down the line at a tree collapse and the Block Indicator currently has an engineering cut-out place on it.
The crossing has a single set of full-length barriers alongside audio-visual warning equipment.
Operation
Because of the On-Call function of the crossing, the crossing remains down normally only being lifted when requested by a member of the public by one of the four plungers at the crossing. The crossing can be lifted by Mazewood Signal Box via a control panel located within the signal box. Signallers are informed of public presence by a yellow flashing light on the panel reading 'Raise Request'.
