Abermoore was a terminus station past Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. It housed 5 platforms.

The station, along with the line to Llanfair and the unfinished double-track line, was removed in April of 2024 due to its creator, RAYE resigning[1].

In addition to the single-track line from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, there was also an unfinished double-track line terminating here that was added along with the station. It ran through the sea, was partially embanked on sand and ended after a few hundred meters. This line was the Newhaven-On-Sea line, which was never entirely finished.

In its state before removal, the station was floating above the sea and its switches couldn't be controlled without assistance from a developer with access to administrative tools.

Trivia

  • The name of the station was chosen through a name competition.
    • In the announcement of the name competition, the station was described as a "grand terminus station which is semi-subsurface and is next to the ocean".[2]
  • Abermoore housed the only animated motorised points.
  • The track was not equipped with 3rd rail electrification, therefore electrified units such as the Class 377 and Class 450 could not proceed into the section.
