Cosdale Cabin

Cosdale Cabin was a switching room located in Dovedale East. It controlled the switches for the terminating area for Steam trains at Dovedale East. The cabin had 5 switches, each with interlocks. Inside the cabin, there was a radio playing music, a small lamp as well as a map placed on the ledge, and a chart with the location of switches and the tracks displayed on that chart.

During September 2023, a series of updates were implemented onto the cabin, like adding a protective lever box, removing clutter and adding a chart to guide players routing trains. There were no signals or shunt signals included in the Cabin.

Cosdale Cabin was removed along with Steam Trains and their shunting area in version 1.0.

Since March of 2024, there has been a ground frame located near the place where Cosdale Cabin used to be. Known as the Cosdale Ground Frame, it can be considered a "replacement" to Cosdale Cabin, as there is a new branch that leads to Cosdale Harbour Yard and the former Cosdale Harbour area.

Trivia

The tracks that Cosdale Cabin controlled also had shunt signals, although these were not yet operational.
This was the smallest Signal Box or 'Switch room' in the game.
As of version 1.1, this is the only signal box to ever be removed from the game.
