Glassbury Junction Signal Box is the signal box controlling the area around Glassbury Junction, including the Glassbury Junction Sidings. At the sidings players can spawn the Class 142 (GMPTE and Codsall liveries) and the Class 150 (Centro livery). Most of the time, Glassbury Junction is a quiet station on the quiet branch. This is due to the fact that the line isn't electrified. Therefore practically everyone goes to Masonfield or Gleethrop End.
Glassbury Junction is the terminus of the branch line from (Dovedale Central -) Marigot Crossing to Glassbury Junction. Thereby it is connected to Codsall Castle via the Main Down Line. The other lines (Branch Down & Main Up) don't lead anywhere and they are marked 'XX' on the board of the signal box. The signals GJ2, GJ3, GJ6 and GJ18 are therefore unable to pull.
This signal box has the lowest XP requirement needed to enter a signal box, which is understandable due to quiet nature of the branch. The box previously having the lowest XP requirement was Satus Signal Box.
The signal box is very decorated inside. With several potted plants inside, picture frames, a signaller information board, a telephone to CH and MC, a radio, a model bus, a steel cabinet, and 6 bookshelves. There is even a small balcony added with a chair and small table. Lastly the Codsall Group is represented in the box, with the logo and Codsall staff members in several picture frames.
Trivia
- During the planning phase of Version 2.0.0., a different kind of signal box design was designed for Glassbury Junction, instead of the box we now have. This box can still be found in the Interlocking Testing Place game as of the 21st of May 2025.
