The Marigot Crossing Signal Box is a signal box that is based next to the Marigot Crossing between Dovedale Central and Masonfield. It houses around 8 Stop Semaphore Signals and 4 Distant Semaphore Signals.
The box will sometimes receive traffic from incoming Class 43 HSTs and Class 365s travelling from Masonfield towards Dovedale Central. There is usually less traffic towards the Glassbury Junction branch line or Masonfield. This is mainly due to the fact that the closest train spawn that faces the direction towards Marigot Crossing is the one at Cosdale Harbour.
Crossing operations
The titular Marigot Crossing is controlled by a gate wheel from inside the box. To use it players need to be close to the wheel and press R or F or the proximity prompts that appear in order to spin it, which either closes or opens the crossing depending on the direction of the spin.
If the signaller wants to let a train through the crossing, they must first close the crossing and then pull levers 24 and 25, which are responsible for locking the crossing in place and preventing it from being opened. Only after this being done can a home signal allowing the train to pass the crossing (such as 20 or 22) be turned OFF. (see Signalling Guide 2.7 for the official guide)
Route Relay Interlocking System
Marigot Crossing Signal Box was the only box in the game that used the Route Relay Interlocking System. As of version 2.0 this system is not present in the game and the signal box uses a regular lever system with lever interlocking for its signals.

The route relay interlocking system is broadly based off of the principles of the eNtry eXit (NX) panel. Mobile users weren't able to use this feature.
In order to use the system, you must:
- Left click the button of the entry signal (where the train is coming from).
- Wait until the button lights up orange.
- Press the exit button (the next button along).
Routes will not set if the next signal is already cleared. For example, if you try to set a route from 13 to 14 while 14 has a route set from it, it will not clear 13.
In order to cancel a route, you can right click the button by the signal you wish to reset.
Once a route is set, white lights will illuminate the route set. These lights will change colour to red when a train occupies the section.
All actions are logged and can be viewed on the display boards above the panel.
Trivia
- Marigot Crossing Signal Box is known for having a quiet atmosphere due to the lack of traffic that is present, apart from Class 43 HSTs and Class 365s coming from Masonfield.
- Before version 2.0 the Pallion Harbour station was split between this signalbox and the Dovedale Central Signal Box. The entry singal for platform 1 and the exit signal for platform were controlled by this box, while the entry signal for platform 2 and the exit signal for platform 1 was controlled by the Dovedale Central Signal Box.
- The Marigot Crossing Signal Box before version 2.0 used to have an XP requirement of 5000, making it the box with the highest amount of XP required at that time. In the current version the spot for the box with the highest amount of XP required is shared by Cosdale Harbour Signal Box and Dovedale Central Signal Box at 7500 XP.
- The Marigot Crossing Signal Box used to have a unique Route Relay Interlocking System used for signalling. It was the only box in dovedale to have one. The system was deemed buggy and slow by the community, which is why it was removed in version 2.0.
- Previously, there weren't any bells or block indicators at Marigot Crossing Signal Box which meant that signallers could only use chat to communicate with the adjacent signal boxes. This was later fixed.
