Phones were previously used for communication between signallers. However, they have been slowly phased out and are now no longer used. While they previously were expected to make a comeback, the "Phone Lines" chat channel was mostly used between signallers and drivers or between boxes if there are issues with bells.
In December of 2023, chat channels were added for most boxes that can be accessed by the signallers of adjacent boxes.
Usage
To call a box, click the phone, and enter the phone number. This will send a ring and you can chat from there.

Trivia
- When the first generation Dovedale East box was underneath the old Dovedale Central, you could call any box from the old Dovedale East box.
