Rayes Transportation Services Limited (RTS) was a company based around the Abermoore area of the Dovedale network. It is currently defunct.
This company operated heritage and modern locomotives on various contracts such as railtours, aggregate haulage, empty coaching stock moves and locomotive drags. RTS operated a fleet of 3 Class 27 locomotives, a Class 66 [1], 2 Class 43 powercars, a Class 484, and a Class 55.
RTS operated out of various sidings around the map like Fanory Mill and Masonfield Sidings. A few times, it did operate services out of the in-development station, Abermoore, heading down the line towards Fanory Mill. A workshop line was under construction at Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. RTS was planned to operate out of the under construction Newhaven-On-Sea Traction Maintenance Depot (TMD).
The company had also operated several road vehicles, painted in a distinct orange livery, which included flatbed HGVs among other vehicles.
RTS also held the track maintenance contract, but this has now been awarded to SLS.
The company was shut down in April of 2024 due to its owner, RAYE, departing the development team.[2]
