The Class 156 is a diesel multiple unit (DMU) in the sprinter family of trains with a top speed of 75 mph (60 mph Prior to V.1.1) It was formerly admin only[1] but was made public, prior to being removed in V1.0. It was added back in V1.3.8 after the Class 450 was removed from the game.
The old Class 156 was spawnable at Platform 2 of Dovedale Central, or on the sidings near the turntable at Fanory Mill, both using admin commands. Two sets could be coupled up to form a double unit of 4 coaches, although this was not advisable as you couldn't turn around safely.
The train was retired during V1.0 and was replaced with the Class 158, with the Class 156 being displayed in the Training Centre.
In version 1.3.8,[2] the 156 was added back to replace the Class 450 after the person who made the train demanded it to be taken out of the game. It now spawns at Platform 7 of Dovedale Central.
Trivia
- The old Class 156 was able to be coupled into a double unit.
- It was recommended to spawn them inside of one another without clipping, and then driving one set to 'couple' them.
- The Class 156, along with the Class 150 and Class 158 are all the members of the Sprinter family of trains that are, or have been present in the game.
