Marigot Crossing Signal Box: Difference between revisions

The Marigot Crossing Signal Box is a signal box that is based next to the Marigot Crossing between Pallion Harbour and Masonfield. It houses around 13 Stop Semaphore Signals and 3 Distant Semaphore Signals. Additionally, Marigot Crossing can be controlled by this box using a wheel. To use it, signallers must use the proximity prompts by holding R to close and F to open the crossing.

While Marigot Crossing Signal Box box controls platform 2 of Pallion Harbour, platform 1 is controlled by Dovedale Central Signal Box.

The box will sometimes receive traffic from incoming Class 43 HSTs and Class 158s travelling from Masonfield towards Dovedale Central. There is less traffic in the other direction due to the big distance to the Fanory Mill Sidings which house the only spawner facing that direction.

Route Relay Interlocking System

Marigot Crossing Signal Box is the only box in the game that uses the Route Relay Interlocking System (see section 2.2 of the Signalling Guide).

Trivia

Marigot Crossing Signal Box is known for having a quiet atmosphere due to the lack of traffic that is present, apart from Class 43 HSTs and Class 158s coming from Masonfield.
Only the entry signal of platform 1 and the exit signal of platform 2 at Pallion Harbour are controlled by this signal box. Both other signals at Pallion Harbour are controlled by Dovedale Central Signal Box.
The Marigot Crossing Signal Box has an XP requirement of 5000, making it the box with the highest amount of XP required.
Previously, there weren't any bells or block indicators at Marigot Crossing Signal Box which meant that signallers could only use chat to communicate with the adjacent signal boxes. This was later fixed.
