Revision as of 20:25, 4 January 2025
The Steam Train was the most basic class of train in the game, which can no longer be spawned by the general public, previously only at the sidings at Satus Services. With a top speed of 30sps, it was the slowest type of train in the game.
Players could attach small coaches that house two people to the trains. As coaches have to be attached to a main unit, the only way to change directions were shunting at Dovedale East or Fanory Mill.
The steamer was limited to driving between Fanory Mill and Dovedale East whilst it was still available, though it could physically run until Glassbury Junction. In older versions, it could run past Dovedale Central, but could not turn back.
As of version 1.2, there is a Steam Train on display in the Training Centre.
Trivia
- While unlimited coaches could be attached, the steamer got slower as more coaches are added.
- Aside from the assigned default blue coach, this train could also be coupled and driven with the Red Steamer and the Class 156.
- The front smoke bed door could be opened.
- You can still find an abandoned one next to Masonfield track 1.
